GOODBYE OBEDIENCE; HELLO GOOD DOGS:
It has been four days since you and Susan were in our home. We learned so much.  It was fun, interesting and successful.

Angel, my “step-dog” had bitten me when I tried to touch her feet. While I am continuing at this time to use the muzzle on her when I handle her feet, she has not made an attempt to snap at me since the second day. Even in the presence of my husband she seems to truly enjoy my attention! After just one session with the Dog Whisperers, all my animals are transformed. At first, it was so hard not to tell the dogs to “sit” when we wanted them to stay back, or to give them the verbal commands we have been used to using. But now I understand that teaching them the behavior they need to know to be “good” pets doesn’t depend on “obedience.”

I should not have to command that they stay off of the sofa unless given permission or command that they stay back from the door and not maul visitors; I understand that they need to understand these behaviors as a way of life, to be done every time without command.  I cannot thank you enough for the time you spent with us.

WE CAN WALK OUR DOGS AGAIN!
My husband and I just came back from our nightly walk and it was truly the most enjoyable walk we’ve had with our dogs in two years!!! … I feel like I have a brand new tool box and can fix ANYTHING!

 

MAGIC.  WOULD NEVER HAVE BELIEVED THIS BEFORE.
There were some squirrels in the front yard and the dogs wouldn’t stop barking. I walked over to the window and looked out. I didn’t say a word. Then I turned, did not look at the dogs, and walked back in the kitchen. They both stopped barking and followed me. I read that in your book but I have to say that I had a hard time believing that it would work with MY dogs. Obviously it did! Again… magic.

 

YOU SAVED HIS LIFE … BY PHONE!!
I have a puppy that I dragged off to twelve –  yes 12 –  different vets, including three neurologists, two vet animal behaviorists, two orthopedists, an ophthalmologist, periodontist, nutritionist, and a host of others.

No one could help us.  In fact, we were told by nearly everyone to put him to sleep. The dentist actually had to tranquilize the puppy for his exam, and I was bitten several times trying to muzzle him, since none of their vet techs would go near my puppy. … Embarrassed and …  desperate — I searched the internet, and I found Mark German. … He offered me hope.

Then, after speaking with Mark for just two nights on the phone, I noticed a huge improvement. We continued to work by phone night after night. He actually changed this puppy from a dangerous and unpredictable lunatic who could not even be touched by us, into a happy — yes happy — delightful sweetheart.

I still cannot believe the change in him.

UNBELIEVABLE, AND WONDERFUL:
I know it has only been a couple of days, but the difference in my dogs is remarkable! I wish I had heard about you back when I had six JRTs and not just three. The change is so notable that I tell everyone I see about it. Those you know me and know my dogs well, stand in open-mouthed awe at the change.

Every day, for years, I have cleaned up messes, tripped over dogs, worried about friends getting bitten, listened to insessant barking and dealt with othering annoying, worrisome and distructive behavior. NO MORE!!  I can own an area rug now! I can have house guests without worry, leave doors open without fear.

Thank you for giving me my life back!

THREE HOURS OF PURE MAGIC:
After JUST ONE SESSION with the Dog Whisperers, all my animals are transformed.
I have watched so many television shows and read so many books on “training” that stress the importance of teaching obedience, I would never have dreamed the changes could come so easily through how we relate to the dogs.

FOREVER DIFFERENT:
I cannot express how different the atmosphere in my home feels. NO growling, no urination, no destruction, no trash cans overturned, no being dragged down the road on a walk – NO dogs in control of my home and life!
You spent less than three hours in my home and my life is forever different! I cannot stop talking about your services and the transformation!

SEEMS LIKE A MIRACLE:
My two small dogs have been totally changed. I am able to sit on my sofa with food and not have to fight to keep them out of my plate. … If someone had told me the dogs could be transformed simply by the changes in the way my husband and I relate to them, I would have thought they were crazy.

 

YOU SAVED CHARLIE:
You did a presentation for the members of the Verde Valley Humane Society back in November 06 that was absolutely amazing. … Before the presentation, we spoke to you about a young dog that had been impounded at the shelter … Charlie. Although he was very friendly, he refused to be placed on a leash or even wear a collar. Charlie‘s behavior caused him to be termed “unadoptable.”

You explained to us that you would work with him a bit before the presentation and during the breaks … and you went outside to where Charlie was crated in the back of a truck. About 20 minutes … there you were with Charlie at your side. Charlie was on a leash! You then began walking him and there he was right at your side. No pulling, crying or anything. Just following you wherever you went.

It was amazing to see.

After you walked Charlie in the parking lot, you came up and educated and showed us how to control him. Our approach had been all wrong. Our method of coaxing and babying him continued to let him be the one in control. You taught us to be the “people” and to teach him to be the “dog”. You taught us The Four Essentials to a Stable Dog (c). We can‘t thank you enough, Mark!

The following Monday, Charlie was adopted!
